-A business license is required for anyone conducting any type of business, trade, profession or home occupation within the city limits or police jurisdiction of Gordon. This includes making repairs, contracting, selling or providing any type of service within the city limits or police jurisdiction of Gordon. In order to obtain a business license, a completed business license application must be submitted to Gordon City Hall for review. Your completed business license application may be submitted via - email (email@example.com USPS - PO Box 46 Gordon, AL 36343 fax (334-522-1305) in person at 692 Tifton Rd, Gordon, AL 36343 If your business activity requires a certification or a permit from a state agency or regulatory board, this must be obtained prior to a Town of Gordon business license being issued. To view a list of boards/agencies with regulatory requirements in Alabama, please visit the Alabama Department of Revenue website. Business licenses expire on December 31st of each year. Renewal notices are mailed to currently licensed businesses in November. Licenses may be renewed through the end of January without penalty. After January 31st, a 15% penalty applies. On March 1st, the penalty increases to 30%. The office accepts a business check, cashier check or money order for the purchase of a business license.
